Soft play is always popular and is a great way for kids to burn off excess energy whilst learning about balance, co-ordination and agility. They can also develop social skills through interaction with others and use their imaginations in role play situations that will help them to understand the world around them.
There is a new soft play Dorset and play cafe in Dorchester called 100 Giggles. This is suitable for under 5’s and runs during morning and afternoon sessions. They offer a wide range of snacks and drinks, as well as baby meals, teas and coffees.

Another place to take the little ones for a fun filled day out is Lollipops Play Cafe in Westbourne. It has a huge three storey adventure soft play frame, which is perfect for children aged 1 to 7. There are also permanent role play sections such as pirate ship, train and house, along with themed areas that change on a regular basis. Children ages 8 and over are not allowed on the frame.
For children over 3 you can visit The Ark soft play in Poole Park. This has three levels of adventure and includes tunnels and interactive zones to jump and slide through. There is also a dedicated toddler area where the older children aren’t allowed and a first floor viewing zone so you can keep an eye on them while they play.
The Ark also offers a number of other family activities such as pottery painting, face painting and birthday parties. You can find out more on their website.
